I'll overwhelm 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Joshua
Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" the American as the pair met personally to build hype for next month's bout.
Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.
Fighter's Attitude
"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's greatest financial successes, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.
"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the traditional face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it highlighted just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is truly happening.
